Acts 2:42

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42

 Community. What is it?

 C – Christ centered fellowship

O – One-on-one or a group

M – Mutual passions and desires 

M – Memories and much laughter

U – Unity in heart

N – No end to the great conversations 

I – I am not alone

T – Truth teaching, speaking, and sharing

Y – You rejoice and commiserate with each other

The Lord has been teaching me that community comes in different forms. I used to think that community only looked like a close group of friends that spent a lot of time together. I now believe that community can also look like friends who live hundreds of miles apart but still speak Truth to each other every time they talk. Community can look like friends who haven’t seen each other in years, but can still pray together when they reunite. When Christ is the center of that community, it may look different, but still be deep and rich. I’m grateful for the community (odd though it might be to the world) with which God has blessed me!
