“Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy”

Such vibrant beauty! I was walking across campus last weekend and realized that leaves were crunching underneath my feet. This brought me immense joy and I started looking for more leaves to walk on! Later this week, I was thinking about the amount of joy those leaves gave me. I was reminded of the above picture that I took last year, which in turn reminded me of Psalm 96:11-12.

“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy”.

So thankful that I was able to catch this “joyful singing” last fall. It is one of my favorite pictures! It engages my senses and imagination. It draws me to Him. My soul starts singing and I’m overcome with thankfulness. Since this is the month of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a fitting to share!

Praying that you’ll have times of seeing “the trees of the forest sing for joy” and remember the One to whom they are singing!
